Before any electric gate installation work is carried out, A member of our installation team will visit your property to carry our a full site survey. In order to fully comply with the latest standards and requirements, our engineers will  conduct a risk assessment for the works required system design. 

All equipment we use is carefully selected and has been tried and tested for a long and reliable trouble free operation. Before we introduce new products, our engineers will carry out full testing of products for anything up to six months at a time. This level of testing ensures that we are providing you with a good quality tried and tested product that will be fully sited for the job.

Warranty & After Sales

All new electric gate installations completed are covered by a full 12 months warranty for both parts and labour.
Once your warranty period has expired, The system manufacturer will offer a free additional 12 months parts only warranty subject to the installation being serviced in accordance with their terms and conditions. 

It is of paramount importance that an electric gate system is serviced and maintained correctly according to the manufacturers requirements. Having your system serviced regularly not only ensures product life expectancy but also detects any potential mechanical or safety failures that are developing.

In order to receive this free of charge extended parts warranty provided by the manufacturers, you must have your installation serviced, We will stamp your service book as proof of maintenance in the event of a parts warranty claim. Once your warranty expires, we have two preventative maintenance options to choose from.

        

Electric Gate Repairs

Do you have a faulty gate system and are in need of a repair, you're in the right place, We can help you. Repairs can be carried out to any system, even if we have not installed it. from small domestic systems right through to larger commercial installations. If you're not sure what the problem is, why not give us a call and speak directly to an engineer. An engineer visit can be booked if requested.

Our standard repair service is available to everybody, You dont have to be an existing customer of ours to use this repairs service. As we stock a large range of spare parts for most of the leading manufacturers, We can generally carry out all repairs to virtually any make or model of electric gate system within 2-3 days of receiving your call.

In addition to our standard repairs service above, we also provide a 24 hour emergency callout  service, available 365 days a year. With our emergency callout service, we will dispatch an engineer to visit your home or business the same day we receive your call.

The charge for our Emergency Callout Service is £50.00 + Vat for an engineer to attend and to provide 15 minutes on site labour, Our callout charges may increase if you are outside our coverage area, For more details, Click here.  

Preventative Maintenance Servicing

Once the 12 month warranty period has expired you have the option to take out a maintenance service contract for your installation. During the maintenance contract period, our engineers will visit your property at a pre-arranged time carry out routine preventative maintenance in accordance with the manufacturers specifications.

Depending on the level of service cover you choose, You will receive the following;

1x Annual Service Visits;
     Domestic & Light commercial    Based on average cycles per 24 hours - 10
     Carry out a full service to the system, Visual inspection & test operation & safety devices. 
     Full control panel diagnostics test, Grease ⁄ lubricate all moving parts.

2x Annual Service Visits;
     Commercial & Industrial            Based on average cycles per 24 hours - 30
     Carry out a full service to the system, Visual inspection & test operation & safety devices.
     Full control panel diagnostics test, Grease ⁄ lubricate all moving parts. Replace remote batteries.

Our electric gates servicing and preventative maintenance contracts start from only£75.00 + Vat, Per year.
All servicing labour charges are fully included with our electric gate preventative maintenance contracts.

Our annual contract will cover both engineers labour and servicing consumables for the time our engineer is on site, up to a maximum of 1½ hours. There are no surprise or hidden charges. Any parts found to be faulty by our engineers can be replaced at the customers request. All parts will be chargeable at the current manufacturers list price. Electric Gate Safety Testing & Compliance to BS EN12453 

The Health and Safety Executive requires electric gate installers to carry out a comprehensive risk assessment of hazards to anyone using the gates prior to design and installation, and for the design to eliminate or considerably reduce any risks identified. It also requires that persons responsible for the management and maintenance of electric gates should be provided with appropriate documentation, instructions for use and training to operate and maintain the gates safely, and recommends that regular reviews or assessments should be undertaken to ensure the gates are maintained in a safe condition.

Potteries Security & Electronics would like to reassure customers that we already adheres to the required actions of the Health and Safety Executive, and would encourage any private individuals or commercial organisations concerned about the safety of existing automatic gates to arrange a electric gate safety inspection.

We are are committed to continued compliance with with European safety standards and legislation.Additional safety features may need to be added to standard or older existing systems in order to achieve compliance. Any additional safety devices required will vary for the type of system and installation environment of the the installed gates.

It is a legal requirement that all automatic gates are built to the relevant standards and carry the "CE" mark. All completed automation systems provided by Potteries Security & Electronics will carry the "CE" mark and a certificate of conformity is issued for each installation.
